Meet our Community...
Here are some of the folks involved in our Medicine Circle family.

David
David Kirchhof, Caretaker and Host
Medicine Circle grew out of David's vision for a place of healing where people could connect in meaningful ways with nature. David purchased the land in 2002 as a land trust. Since then he has been the primary caretaker and host to many who have visited for personal and family retreats, nature awareness training, youth camps and wedddings.
David is an elder for the Twin Eagles Wilderness school. His background includes nature awareness education and natural healing modalities.

becky

becky kemery, Caretaker and Host
Becky lives at Medicine Circle as a caretaker while continuing to write books and speak around the planet on behalf of her book YURTS: Living in the Round. She gardens at Medicine Circle using permaculture, biodynamic and nature spirit principles and assists with workshops and our website.
     You'll find becky's website at
www.yurtinfo.org and her blog at www.livingintheround.org. You're also invited to join her "Yurtlady" facebook page.

Joshua
Joshua Walters, Trustee
Joshua grew tall in Pennsylvania's Appalachian mountains hunting, fishing and exploring with his father and grandfather, “Pap”. He deepened his earth connection swimming with pirhana in Peru and camping with grizzlys and timber wolves in Yellowstone, and through Tom Brown Jr.'s Tracker School, Wilderness Awareness School and the Kamana Naturalist Study Course.
An instructor with Twin Eagles Wilderness School, Josh is an unforgettable mentor for kids. He lives from the heart and "brings sunshine to all those around,"
enlivening Medicine Circle with his humor, music, deep love for people, passion for community and plenty of just plain hard work!

Daniel
Daniel Kirchhof, Trustee
A “street corner naturalist” and beloved instructor, family member and friend, Daniel has contributed much to Medicine Circle over the years. He brings experience in building interesting structures, living in a tipi, gardening, foraging, fishing and brain-tanning buckskin.
When not helping out at Medicine Circle,
Daniel's at home in a cabin he built overlooking the Yellowstone River in Paradise Valley, Montana.

Tipi Deb
Deb
Debra Williams,  Teacher and Grandmother
Most of our tipis were made by "Tipi Deb," a gifted herbalist and crafter who leads occasional workshops and holds space for Grandmother energy on the land. Deb is an elder with Twin Eagles Wilderness School and lives at nearby Tolstoy Farm. Her tipi company is Sagebrush Tipi Works.

Twin Eagles Wilderness School directors
Jeannine, River and Tim
Jeannine Tidwell andTim Corcoran  Twin Eagles Wilderness School
Passionate students of the earth, Tim and Jeannine studied with numerous wilderness schools, native teachers and elders across the country before foundingTwin Eagles Wilderness School in Sandpoint, Idaho in 2005.
Twin Eagles holds its overnight camps for children and teens at Medicine Circle each summer and co-sponsors Medicine Circle workshops. Members of the Medicine Circle community support the work of Twin Eagles as instructors and elders. Common to both is a shared vision for ensuring that the earth remains a healthy and beautiful place for future generations through mentoring children in the natural world, developing effective models for eldering, and providing ongoing instruction in sustainable design and technologies.

Medicine Circle kitchen creations

A Word from our Kitchen...
Serving hearty, mostly-vegetarian fare, we grow as much as possible of our own food and purchase from local producers. We complete the circle by returning kitchen compost to our gardens.
We also wildcraft from the forests and fields around us--mushrooms, berries, salad greens and herbs for medicine and teas. You'll find our staff happy to share their knowledge and love of growing, cooking and medicine-making.
